Lookstein, Joseph Hyman

Lookstein, Joseph Hyman
(1902-79)
   American rabbi, of Russian origin. He went to the US as a child. He served as rabbi of Kehilath Jeshurun Congregation in New York and professor of homiletics and sociology at Yeshiva University. In 1958 he became president of Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv.
